Our Purpose

Yesterday’s Gone believes that no woman should have to go back to an abusive situation. Our program assists women who have suffered abuse or trauma by offering housing, life coach services, and access to local resources. Yesterday’s Gone guides them on a healing journey towards self-sustainability. Our Vision is to live in a world where no woman has to go back to an abusive situation.

At Loree Tamayo Consulting & Management (LTCM), half of our revenue is donated to Yesterday’s Gone. Loree Tamayo, Founder of Yesterday’s Gone, wanted to ensure that no one has to return to an abusive situation.

As an abuse survivor herself, Loree wanted to give to those who weren’t as fortunate as she was to leave her abuser. While we are so thankful for emergency shelters, women and their families are only allowed to stay for 60-90 days.

Where are women supposed to go after the emergency shelter? The only choice they have is to live in their car (if they own one) or go back to their abuser.

Yesterday’s Gone is the next step in a woman’s journey after the emergency shelter. Yesterday’s Gone is a transitional housing program for women who have suffered from abuse or trauma. They are able to stay in their own tiny home for up to 12 months with their dependent children and pets. They meet with their Life Coach daily to complete their goals. While enrolled at Yesterday’s Gone, they must go to work or school at least 30 hours a week, and save 50% of their income. Yesterday’s Gone ensures that their guests become independent by the time they move out.
